Until I was a mother, I really didn't appreciate what Thanksgiving meant. When I was a child, and even through my 20s, Thanksgiving was just an event when I had a meal with family -- the same as New Year's Day, or Easter. Call me sentimental, but now Thanksgiving means looking back at everything I'm so lucky to have (as well as to have a great meal!).
So, here's just a short list of those things!
- My family... everyone is healthy and happy. We are so very lucky to have each other.
- Employment - I've found great balance with a part-time job (that is still very professionally rewarding), freelance work (to pay the bills), and time home with my kids.
- Making it on the Disney Moms Panel. Five days/four nights in Florida next week. Need I say more. Oh yeah, the rest of the panel is so much fun -- can't wait to meet everyone!
- My husband's job - in this economy, his job seems relatively stable.
- My home - I love our house. It's not perfect, but it's ours.

Have a great time in Disney! I'm excited for you. I worked in Epcot as part of their college program a bazillion years ago and I'm sure you will meet great folks there + your other panelists.
I'm looking forwarsd to your posts and tweets.
