What Have I Been Up to Lately?

So.... I haven't posted in a while. I honestly haven't felt very inspired to write. When my post ideas range from our latest plumbing emergency to my daughter's recently bout of poison ivy, I figured that things that are barely interesting to me wouldn't be very interesting to readers. So, I stopped writing.

The truth is that my lack of interesting blog material means that things are actually going quite well. My new part-time job seems to be a great solution to the working mom/stay at home mom issue that I've wrestled with. It's only been two weeks but I'm hopeful that the balance will be perfect. More on that in the upcoming weeks.

The fall weather has been really nice for outdoor activities, also keeping me very busy. In the past, I've actually disliked the fall. I'm more of a warm weather person, and fall just reminds me that winter is heading our way. However, now I seem to like the fall - there's so much to do!

I could write about how the Red Sox are imploding, something I got to witness first hand the other day at game 3 of the ALCS. When the most interesting thing about the game are the weird people sitting in front of you, it's not a good sign.

Or, of course, I could write about the economy. But I'm trying to ignore that, or at least ignore my rapidly declining 401k and 529 balances.

Let's just hope that inspiration hits soon :)
