I grew up in New England, and went to college in Upstate NY. I should be ready for this. But year after year, with the return of winter, I'm freezing, annoyed, and ready to move.
This photo to the left is the view outside my side bedroom window. These are icicles of death, and would definitely cause damage if they ever fell on anyone/anything. That is unlikely to happen though, as you'd have to walk through 14+ inches of snow to even reach my back yard.
Years ago, I thought snow was beautiful, especially around the holidays. Those days are gone. Here's the view from my back bedroom windows. This is just ugly - during the summer and spring, these trees are loaded with gorgeous green leaves, and in the fall, they are colorful. Now, just bare trees...
