My New Boss

I will completely admit that I can be stubborn, opinionated, and strong-willed. I think those are really good characteristics for a girl and woman to have so that she'll always know who she is and so she won't be influenced inappropriately. So, on paper, I'm thrilled that my 3 year old daughter has inherited those characteristics.

The reality however, can be difficult. She knows exactly how she wants to wear her hair, what clothes to put on, and how she wants her bed. The other day, on one of my first days at a stay at home mom, she woke up from her nap and demanded that I make her bed. I couldn't just make it any old way - she wanted clean lines with no bumps, and insisted upon it.

I thought when I left work, I wouldn't have a boss anymore. But I do. She's three.
